The demographic information below can help organizations improve their customer service in our community, develop culturally specific products and services, and source internationally experienced employees and advisors. Likewise, these demographic statistics help new immigrants and long-term residents better understand and appreciate their community.
Immigrants and refugees make up more than 50% of the population of Burnaby according to the 2006 census. Of that group, nearly 80% have lived in Burnaby for more than 10 years.
